Typography design from around Europe

16th February 2018

#Marketing

Our favourite examples of typography design, snapped on our working travels throughout Europe.

Snapped on our working travels.

In case we haven’t mentioned it enough already, at Vida we are lucky enough to be able to work remotely. Over the last year this has allowed us to visit quite a few countries around Europe, and on our travels we came across A LOT of cool typography.

I’m not sure if it we were constantly looking out for it, but we seemed to find inspiration in pretty much every town or city we set foot in. I (Ellen) became a little bit obsessed with taking pictures of the nice examples of typography we saw around the place which meant we returned to England with a camera full of pictures of shop fronts, business cards and restaurant floors. You name it, if I thought it looked nice, I took a photo of it.

Instead of letting these beautiful examples go to waste, forever living on an external hard drive never to see the light of day again, I thought I’d share a couple of them with you.

We don’t know what it is about mainland Europe, but there just seems to be a lot of cool typography about. Yes, ok it’s all over the UK too, but it always looks nicer in the European sunshine doesn’t it!

We definitely gather a lot of design inspiration from travelling around. It helps for our creativity that we get to work in so many cool places and that we can choose to be in different surroundings every day if we want to.

Remote working is the way forward for us and we definitely think it will catch on, we love surrounding ourselves in different cultures with different ways of working all the time.
