We (Ellen and Henry) are super excited to have been shortlisted as finalists in the Creative Industries and Young Entrepreneur categories of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards for the North East.
The Awards, which received over 3,000 applications across eight regions, champion the stories of entrepreneurs, celebrating them as agents of positive change in our country and the social, economic and cultural impact of their businesses.
Our award entry was based around our start-up story so far. From establishing the business in 2016 at the ages of 23 and 25, to working whilst travelling Europe in a campervan, to doubling turnover year-on year, now working out of our office on Newcastle’s quayside. It’s been a bit of a journey!
The North East Awards night will be held in Newcastle on 29th October and if we win either of the regional categories we’ve been shortlisted for, we’ll be invited to the national black-tie awards night in London in November.
It’s our first ever time entering awards, let alone being finalists, and we just want to take the opportunity to say a big thanks to everyone – clients, friends, family – for supporting both of us in growing Vida Creative to where it is now. Here’s to the future (and to having a great time on awards night whatever the outcome!).
