Natwest Business News recently interviewed Ellen about our Tyne Collective project, a gift voucher platform for North East businesses affected by lockdown.
Ellen recently spoke to the Natwest Business News Hub to tell them all about Tyne Collective, a website we’ve been proud to set up to help local independent businesses in the North East during lockdown.
Like so many in the past few weeks, we found ourselves will a little extra time than we’d originally expected!
We wanted to use our skills to do something to help the local community and the businesses affected by the global pandemic, and after an impromptu ideas session we decided upon what has now become Tyne Collective.
Tyne Collective is an online platform that allows independent businesses in the North East to sell gift vouchers now that their customers can redeem when they re-open.
We loved the idea as it gives customers a way of supporting their favourite business with cash flow, and also giving those that buy vouchers something to look forward to when normal life resumes.
We’ve collaborated with our friends over at Regalo on the project. They’re powering the gift card platform so our businesses have a secure and robust way to sell and manage their vouchers.
NatWest Business got in touch as they wanted to share the good news story.
Recent businesses joining Tyne Collective include Thali Tray, RPM Music and Iles Tours. You can check out the vouchers shops and what it’s all about on the Tyne Collective website.
