Deep North is known for artisan doughnuts and an ever-changing menu. What started as a small venture quickly built a loyal following, with four stores now open across the North East. From the beginning, the team had a clear vision for growth and they needed a brand that could grow with them.

We partnered with Deep North early in their journey to help shape the identity from the ground up. The goal was to create a brand that felt just as fun and bold as their product, distinctive, full of personality, and ready to roll out across every part of the business.

We developed a logo with presence that reflects the brand’s playful edge, and illustrations built to flex across stores, packaging, menus, merchandise and digital platforms. Every part of the identity was designed to be recognisable, cohesive and easy to implement as the business scaled.

A core part of the brand’s visual language is a suite of expressive, character-led illustrations. These add a sense of energy and fun across every touchpoint and are used on everything from signage and stickers to tote bags and takeaway boxes.

The illustration style is distinctive and easily recognisable, helping to create a strong brand world that feels unmistakably Deep North, wherever a customer encounters it.

Today, Deep North’s identity is woven into every aspect of the customer experience. The logo features across a growing line of merch, from tees to tote bags and in a testament to its impact, one fan even had it tattooed.

It’s bold enough to stand out on a crowded high street, yet flexible enough to evolve as the business grows. The brand continues to do what it was built to do: stand out, stay fun, consistent and support a growing following.
