Frequently asked questions
Do you only build in WordPress?
No. When you need a proper CMS (several editors, lots of content or integrations), we use WordPress or Sanity, depending on the job. When you don’t, we build in Astro, which is faster and cheaper to run. We’ll recommend one and tell you why, even when the cheaper option is right.
Can’t we just build it ourselves with AI?
You can, and for a small site that might be the right call. But AI sites tend to look the same and sound the same. Understanding your audience, what makes you different and what gets people to take action takes real strategic thinking and human empathy, and that’s most of the work. We use AI as part of our development process, but all the important stuff is handled by real humans.
Do you offer design only, or development only?
We’ll design a site for your own developers to build and hand over designs they can work from. We don’t take on development-only projects. Most clients come to us for both, and we’re used to working alongside in-house and external teams.
Can we update the site ourselves?
Yes. We set up the CMS around how your team works and show you round it at handover, so adding a page or changing copy doesn’t need a developer. When you want something bigger, you’ll have a real person to talk to, and a strategic partner to plan it with.
Do you host and maintain sites?
Yes, and most clients host with us. You get fast, secure hosting and 30 days of bug fixes after launch as standard, then a support plan if you want one. You’re free to host elsewhere, and we’ll never tie you in.
Is SEO / AEO included?
Yes. Every site launches with technical and on-page SEO in place, structured so AI search tools can read it too. If you want someone looking after search month to month, that’s part of our Marketing retainers.
