Creative Design Challenge: Tackling Mental Health in Football

'teamtalk: tackling mental health in football' is Dan's brand identity and initial concept for the first Major Players design brief challenge.

Last week Dan took on a creative design challenge from digital, creative and tech recruiters, Major Players. He’s come up with a name, brand identity and initial concepts to support the launch of a new mental health initiative in football.

As part of their new initiative, over the next few months Major Players will be launching a variety of briefs, set by key industry figures. The briefs aim to challenge and inspire creative communities and to drive positive social change during these unprecedented times.

The first of these tasks was a collaboration between Major Players and EFL (English Football League), seeking creatives to come up with a brand and initial concepts to support the launch of a new mental health initiative to promote positive mental health within football.

With such an important initiative, and appreciating the role that mental health plays in the game, Dan thought this was a nice little project to really get the creative juices flowing.

teamtalk is aimed at helping to normalise conversations about mental health and wellbeing to tackle the stigma surrounding it. It targets players from the grassroots up to all levels of the game, supporters, and those involved in the wider football community.
