NCEP
Removing barriers to
cultural education.
The Northumberland Cultural Education Partnership (NCEP) brings together schools, cultural organisations and local authorities to make sure every child and young person in Northumberland can access high-quality arts and cultural experiences, regardless of background. We worked with NCEP to create a new brand identity and bespoke website from the ground up, along with a suite of digital assets to support their next chapter of growth.

NCEP connects a wide network of educators, artists and cultural organisations, all focused on helping young people explore creativity, build confidence and see culture as “for them”.
To shape their brand, we started with an in-depth discovery workshop to understand their audiences, goals and the roles different partners play. From there, we developed a visual identity that puts creativity, positivity and movement at the centre. Eye-catching animations and graphic elements help bring the identity to life online, giving NCEP a look and feel that feels fun and engaging, while still professional enough for local authorities and partners.
NCEP’s website needed to do a lot of heavy lifting: clearly explain who they are, make it easy to find projects and resources, and speak to multiple audiences at once.
We designed and built a bespoke site with simple, intuitive navigation, so all stakeholders can quickly find what’s relevant to them. The UX is shaped around real user journeys, whether that’s a teacher looking for CPD opportunities, a partner organisation wanting to collaborate, or a young person exploring what’s on offer in their area.
Accessibility and clarity were key throughout, with layouts and content structured to support users with different needs and levels of digital confidence. The result is a platform that feels energetic and inspiring, while clearly communicating NCEP’s purpose and impact.
To support the brand beyond the website, we created a suite of digital assets, including email templates, presentation decks and social-ready content. This gives the NCEP team everything they need to show up consistently across channels, from school networks to regional partners and public campaigns.
Together, the brand, website and asset toolkit give NCEP a vibrant, modern presence that reflects who they are and strengthens their ability to grow cultural opportunities for children and young people across Northumberland.
With NCEP’s role continuing to evolve, flexibility was a key consideration throughout the project. The brand and website were designed to grow with the partnership, allowing new projects, resources and partners to be added over time without losing clarity or consistency. This future-focused approach gives the team a platform that can adapt as their reach and impact continue to expand.
